“All good things must come to an end!”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

I want to share my Wednesday Facebook devotion with all of you.

“Life is like a roller coaster ride, highs and lows, peaks, and valleys.  It’s interesting ride!

On a real roller coaster ride you can ride it multiple times, but after the first time you know what’s coming, you can anticipate those peaks and valleys, but the roller coaster of life is never the same.

As you rise every morning out of bed, you can count on the fact that you've never been on this ride before.

You have zero idea of what lies ahead for you.

But the operator of the ride knows exactly how the day is going to go.

All you can do is take a seat, buckle in, and hold on!

Drive me the exciting, the ride could be as scary as heck.

the ride might make you joyous or the ride could make you nauseous.

Whatever you experience today on your personal rollercoaster of life. I promise you that at the end of it the operator will have protected you and watched over you.

The ride will stop, and he will reach down and unlock your safety strap, he will offer you his hand of assistance for you to get out of your seat and he will thank you for trusting in him.

And he will assure you that when tomorrow's ride is ready that he will be with you and that he will deliver once again deliver you to a great end.

Is it true that all good things must come to an end in your life?

or is it perhaps more accurate than all things must come to an end sooner or later.

Whatever your conclusion is, there is a common truth involved.

God is with you every step of every day, every moment in all the way.

The story of our lives is written out, word by word, chapter by chapter each day.

As each day is written out it has a conclusionary aspect to it.

As you think and consider in hindsight about it, did your chapter of that day go like you thought it would or were their peaks and valleys, unexpected curves, times that churned along and times that flew by like a time warp?

Good moments and not so good moments, did it really seem like you were on a proverbial rollercoaster ride?

Was their joy and was there pain, did you hold onto the safety bar white knuckle or did you wave your hands in the air, screaming with mixed emotions of exhilaration and terror.

Birthdays chapter come on the ride of life that you lived out eventually through the good of it and the challenges of it eventually really did come to an end.

All good things must come to an end and in all honestly, everything in life will eventually come to an end as well.

Play movie moments that we may end the days chapter and record it in our hearts and minds and feel like “shoot” I'm kinda sorry that I had to end and there may be times that we may look and say thank you God, that's over! Right

On the right ends and you're receiving help from the operator to get off be sure that the day's ride was in his nuisances were under the loving controls of the operator.

Did your day go as you thought it would, did the ride bring you an unexpected twists and turns?

Did your ride bring about a multitude of emotions, ups and downs and ins and outs?

Whatever it brought, I assure you that Jesus was at the helm in the control panel.

Your day ended like it had begun. You rose out of bed and Christ was with you and you returned to bed and rest with peace that he got you through the day's rollercoaster once more.

Jesus was and is with you every moment of every day, minute and second.

Whether it's rollercoaster ride of life, he is with you and when our plans are not his plans, he will edit that day's chapter. It will end.

Whether it's rickety ship we are on with the storm slamming into walls and we feel it is sinking, he will rise from it hull and he will calm you, his child, by commanding the storm to end “Peace” being still it will end.

Whether we are standing and watching the parade of our life go by. We can only see the part of it that is marching by us at that moment.

You see the beginning, then the entirety of it, bit by bit then eventually we will see the end.

Jesus all the while was the Parade Marshall, and he was able to see the entire parade of our life from his vantage point all at one time.

The parade had to end.

In our lives as a Christian, we have to let go and let God.

Trust him as your roller coaster operator but greater still he is the owner too.

Trust him to save your ship from sinking not just as a fellow passenger, but as its owner and captain.

Trust you to not just be a sponsor of your parade, but it's Grand Marshall too.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Live life, love life, as you write out it’s days chapter, let it be with Christ being your editor and chief.

Today may be your final entry into your great book of your life memories, how will your life story end?

James wrote “What is your life, it is but a vapor that quickly rises and then vanishes away.

Are you ready for today? Are you ready for tomorrow? Are your ready for your ride to the end?

Don’t live your life waiting for it to conclude, live life preparing for it to do so.

And with that, today’s message has come to an end.
