Where Everyone Is Someone

Where there is a will, there is a way.

“Where there is a will, there is a way.”
Proverbs 29:18

Solomon understood very well what he was writing.

His father David had a dream and a vision to build a great house and a permanent place for his Lord to abide and to be worshipped from within.

1st Chronicles 17:1-12

1 Now it came to pass, as David sat in his house, that David said to Nathan the prophet, Lo, I dwell in an house of cedars, but the ark of the covenant of the Lord remaineth under curtains.

2 Then Nathan said unto David, Do all that is in thine heart; for God is with thee.

3 And it came to pass the same night, that the word of God came to Nathan, saying,

4 Go and tell David my servant, Thus saith the Lord, Thou shalt not build me an house to dwell in.

5 For I have not dwelt in an house since the day that I brought up Israel unto this day; but have gone from tent to tent, and from one tabernacle to another.

6 Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:

8 And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.

9 Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, as at the beginning,

10 And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the Lord will build thee an house.

11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom.

12 He shall build me an house, and I will establish his throne forever.

David was not satisfied with just sliding into the latter years of his life. He wasn't willing to merely have the thought nor the attitude of that he had reached the pinnacle of his life, more to revel in the victories that and the subduing of his peoples enemies.

David had a self-revelation that the building of his Kingdom and God's was not done, he had a vision for the future of how to govern the people and how to also honor the Lord as he and the Kingdom of God deserved.

To sit on his laurels and grow old, to just simply quit growing of mind and spirit and heart was not acceptable to him.

He understood that if he had no vision, no goals, no revelation to share, to encourage the people that they would spiritually perish, they would lose hope for a better day for a brighter future.

God's people should never have to perish because they have no vision, no revelation, no drive, no determination, no hope, no care about building up themselves in their Christian growth, no idea on how to build up and grow God's Kingdom.

Hosea 4:6  My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge…

Spiritual knowledge does not mean being like Jack van Impe was and be able to memorize both Old Testament and New Testament of the Bible. It does not mean that you can or will have the right answers to any biblical questions.

Spiritual knowledge is having vision for your life, within God's parameters, for God's Kingdom and for its advancement.

David's vision and that which he gave decades of his life to share was honored by God, but David never saw his vision for God's house and for his people to worship the Lord within.

That honor was given to David's son Solomon who built the great temple and the House of God in Jerusalem.

That throne would and will be the eternal throne of Jesus Christ by the Davidic & Messianic Covenants.

David's vision will one day come two it's complete fruitation. Someday.

What if David never had a vision for God's Kingdom on this earth and for God's nation Israel for its growth? What if David never shared his vision?

We can only surmise:

I firmly believe that any church here in the 21st century that does not have a vision that church will be able to witness its own end.

A people without spiritual vision and leadership will slowly but surely dwindle and become inconsequential to the Lord and his work.

A shepherd of a flock must pray fully seek wisdom, guidance and direction from the Lord to acquire and share the vision. Approximately 17 years ago I shared the vision I had for us and for God's Kingdom.  The first part, we gathered within it today. God's mission for us and mine for you is a continuing journey that we will continue to travel that road together on. I believe there are times when the vision needs to be laid forth again. Today is the day!

What is the main reason that we this church exists.

We find that in Mark 16:15  And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. And again in Matthew 28:19-20 9 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Evangelizing the lost, reaching out to those spiritually dry drowning and dying within the life jacket of God's love an Amazing Grace of salvation and then embracing them and teaching them in God's word in his tenants and doctrine.

These can be done in accomplished through our time, our financial resources, our support of local national and international missions.

Another aspect of the vision is the discipleship of those within our church family.

Through Sunday messages, through group studies, through Sunday school, through through simply being available to one another period for me I offer three or four online studies during the week.

We can do all these discipleship aspects, but unless you are willing to and have the want to participate then it's no of it avail.

Another aspect is ministering to those widows and the lonely.

James 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

This is not just the responsibility of the pastors and the elders; this is speaking to every Christian. Think of ways you can do this. Perhaps send a card, pick up the phone, pay a personal visit if feasible, take them a meal or bake them some cookies. Show them that you care in Jesus’ name.

Yet another part of our vision is doing our part in helping to “Raise up a child in the way they should go, so when they are old they will not depart from it.”

People, our youth are as Jesus tarries are our future.

Please invest in our church family youth, pray for them, participate in events with them, volunteer to help teach and guide, perhaps mentor a young person in life's walk.

Yet another part of living our God's vision for us is the completion of the Ezra building phase two.

Be praying for it funding, be giving as the Holy Spirit leads, volunteer for events.

It's all in God's timing, yet there is a work to be done by each of us.

WWJD:  Matthew 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Our vision God has for us when implemented when done will be blessed of God. When God's vision is not implemented or when it's done halfheartedly this will bring Christ condemnation.

Where there is no vision, the people perish.

The Roseville independent Chapel has received God's vision and we are reminded of it today.

I will not permit us nor you as an individual to perish by not undertaking God's vision for us and my vision for you.

This church will continue, and we will broaden the vision I am with you, God is with us and we will not perish.

sometimes we need reminded, I think we have needed a reminder!

We are not fulfilling this vision as we need to be.

Our fire needs to be re lit, our desire to get moving needs to kick in the backside. Our joy needs to be renewed.

It's my job to see each one of us to get these done and I'm doing so today.

2022, Is God’s year!  It’s going to be the Roseville Chapel’s finest hour; I believe this with every ounce of my being.

God’s here, I’m here, you’re here, we will fulfill the vision together for others, for God’s kingdom.  Will you join me in doing whatever we need to do?  Because RIC is God’s, and we are his!!
